Who We Are
The Pleasant Valley Bobcats Adventurer Club is part of a worldwide organization sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The program is designed to support parents in the challenging task of helping children develop fully as followers of Christ in today's world.
The goals of the Pleasant Valley Bobcats are to:
- encourage children, at their own level, to commit their hearts and lives to Jesus;
- help children gain a positive attitude toward the benefits, joys and responsibilities of living a Christian life;
- help children acquire the habits, skills and knowledge needed to live for Jesus today;
- assist parents and other primary care-givers to become more confident and effective co-laborers with Jesus for their children.
Pleasant Valley Bobcats provide fun and creative ways for children to:
- develop a Christ-like character;
- experience the joy and satisfaction of doing things well;
- express their love for Jesus in a natural way;
- learn good sportsmanship and strengthen their ability to get along with others;
- discover their God-given abilities and to know how to use them to benefit self and serve others;
- improve their understanding of what makes families strong.
