FUNDRAISER FOR MAKE-A-WISH: PVC member Miah McIntyre (Pat Knudson’s granddaughter) has an ambitious senior project: A fund raiser banquet dinner for the Make A Wish Foundation, March 20, 6-8 p.m.  The event will be held at the Center for Advanced Learning (CAL) at Gresham Station.  Cost is $15 per person for a meal fully donated by the Olive Garden which means all proceeds go to the Make A Wish Foundation.  Contact Miah to RSVP at 509-637-4959 or miah_mcintyre@yahoo.com. 

 

GLADSTONE CAMP MEETING 2010:  The Oregon Conference does not have it in the current budget to hold Gladstone Camp Meeting 2010, however, the Executive Committee has supported a specific fund raising effort for this special event.  Please submit your written pledge to the church treasurer.  If the pledges total at least $250,000 by March 20, Camp Meeting willl go forward.

 

COMING: A Spring Weight Management group, based on the newly released book “The Full Plate Diet,” is starting at PVC on March 23 at 7 p.m.  The group will continue to meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.  There’s more info at PVC - you'll find it in your bulletin this Sabbath. 

 

SOFTBALL PLAYERS NEEDED:  We are looking for women softball players to play on the “Pleasant Valley 2” softball team.  We need a couple of men players as well.  If you love softball and want to play on a team this Spring, contact Tami Beaty ASAP at beatys4@hotmail.com or 503-698-4622.  Let's play BALL!

BABY & CHILD CLOTHING SWAP COMING TO PVC!  Anything that is baby related is the focus of the clothing swap, March 27 at 8 p.m. and March 28, 2-5 p.m.  Bring something, and find something that you need. You are welcome to bring baby/child/maternity clothes, as well as toys, books, blankets, bedding and anything baby/child related. The only thing we ask is that you bring items that are in good/excellent condition.  Anything that is left over will be donated to PACS.  Bring your items to the Beginners classroom during Sabbath School on Sabbath.  You may also bring items to PVC on Friday, March 26, from 10 a.m.-12 noon.

 

DISCOVER “ANCIENT HEALTH SECRETS” at PVC starting Monday, April 5, from 7-8:30 p.m.  This eight-week series, led by health educator Don Mackintosh, will be held on Monday nights at 7 p.m.   Fliers with details are on the Info Table in the foyer.

 

CONGRATULATIONS to the Pathfinder Bible Achievement team which scored 1st place at the conference level event and will be moving on to the Union level event on March 13, in Caldwell, Idaho.
